Premiere pro 2021 caption performance
With the December 2021 (PPro 2022) updates, there has been a big performance drop when using captions. This was also a bug when the new caption system was ntroduced, but it went away with the next set of updates and performance was smooth. Now it is very, very laggy and slow to respond

The performance when using captions has always been very poor.
When selecting different captions in the 'Captions' panel, the auto-scrolling is very slow and jittery. This is particularly frustrating when you click a caption while it's still scrolling and end up selecting the wrong one.
It should be possible to disable auto-scroll when selecting captions, which would have a significant performance and usability improvement.
