Strokes for Essential Graphics Clip Layers
In the Legacy Titler, you can add a graphic (PNG image) and then add a stroke and other simple effect right away. But when you import a graphic in the essential graphic panels you have no appearance option like you have in the legacy titler. The only thing you can add is a drop shadow effect from the effect panel, but i need to add a stroke to a .png file. How to do it? Please add the same feature from the leagacy titler to the essential graphic panel. Also, please have a way to convert title made in the legacy titler to the essential graphic way, i have project using the legacy titler that are complexe and don't want to loose there usefulness thank you.
Thanks for your feature request! I renamed the post to "Strokes for Essential Graphics Clip Layers" so other users know right away what this is about when browsing through UserVoice. I hope this is ok with you.
The Motion Graphics team has see your request. Strokes for clip layers have not risen to the top of our priorities, but it is still a valid request! So let's see if this gets some more attention through your post.
There is a way to convert Legacy Titles to Essential Graphics. In 22.0 you can select one or multiple Legacy Titles in the Project Panel and then use the commands "Upgrade Legacy Title" or "Upgrade All Legacy Titles" from the top Graphics menu. This will replace the used Legacy Titles in sequences with Source Graphics but keeps the Legacy Titles as a copies in the project panel in case you need to compare the upgrade. In a future version of Premiere Pro you will be able to upgrade all Legacy Titles on project opening.
