Premiere Pro/After Effects crash on starup (all versions) reason found!!! easy fix!
Yesterday I started Premiere after a long time and faced a strange crash on Startup. At first I thought it's because of the Blackmagic RAW plug-in. At least it was the last thing Premiere Launcher showed on the Screen. After deleting the BM_RAW Plug-in, it kept hanging on other Plug-ins and dll's.
Meanwhile, I had upgraded to a new Monitor and had another Graphics driver. So I started deleting, reinstalling and updating everything possible. I also used "AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool", but unfortunately it didn't help to remove everything. I changed Monitor refresh rate, because I thought maybe Premiere can't handle 240Hz (BTW it works fine). So after almost one day spending to open Premiere, I remembered that my NAS is turned off. It was very strange to imagine that the missing Network Path to some favorites in the Media Browser can cause such a problem... but guess what, it was...
I can reproduce this problem by turning off the network card (You can see the Video on Youtube -> https://youtu.be/xMhbPeQUNN4 ). So It's actually a big problem and I guess there are many Users having the same issue, not knowing the cause.
So I have 2 kindly requests:
- please add a function that detects if a Path is missing and show it as notification and let the Program start (just like if a file is missing, and you can mark it as offline). This Problem shouldn't cause a Program to crash.
- I wasn't able to detect any reason for the crash in Windows Events.
At least, no useful info.
This is all I get:

TL;DR:
If you have a Network path as favorite in Media Browser and that Path is not reachable, Premiere Pro and After Effects will probably crash on startup.
I hope this gets fixed soon, and it will possibly help someone.

Haven’t seen that before; thanks for the helpful video.
