Include timecode and speaker names on caption export
Speech to Text caption text export really needs to include timecode and speaker names.
Daniel Newman commented
Not sure why this wouldn't already be a function. What is the point of identifying the speaker if it doesn't export with the transcript?
Christian Timmann commented
Or the possibility to add that via a checkbox like TC, speaker names, pauses etc.

Yes!! And something like the Descript app, where you can edit the text and have it conform the edit.

I need this feature! It should be so easy to implement. The timecodes already exist in the transcript panel. I really really hope they change this
George Gomez commented
We desperately need this feature!
Jonah Walker commented
Yes this would be amazing!

Yes - transcripts will be MUCH more valuable with speaker names and timecode in transcripts. Also, would be really useful if you could choose to use the SOURCE timecode rather than the sequence timecode.

Yes, please! This would be so helpful when handing off to editors.
Martin Kane commented
Yes, please add speaker and timecode to plain text export!

I need this for the Transcript text as well. Sometimes I need to transcribe footage and then send the transcript to the editorial staff. Having the names and timecodes for them to see who is talking in the text is essential.
Otherwise it's always more work for me to go back to add in the speaker info to the text file after I have already worked on it in the transcription window.
Corbett Adkins commented
Adding this would be the best thing since sliced bread!

This would be a HUGE asset to the Speech to Text caption. Exporting timecode and speaker id's to a text file would really speedup the tedious workflow that we've had to endure to this point. Almost there, Adobe. Adding these features would only attract new subscribers who are being lured away to other editing platforms.

Do it! Please. Then when I share transcripts with clients we can each easily see who is saying what

Agreed! Timecodes, along with speaker names, in both captions and exported transcripts are essential.

Essential professional feature for documentary filmmakers, including both timecode and speaker names. This applies to both captions and transcripts.
James Cude commented
This would be very useful.

YES PLEASE. This would bring real value to exporting a transcript for client and internal review.
