Saving Templates to a local computer folder and creating an asset with an Essential Graphic
I'd like to save a template to my client folder - and then import it from that folder - but I can't import a template from a local folder.
ALSO... Why can't I make an Essential Title an asset? One reason I've always liked Legacy titles, is that you can save the graphic as an asset in your Project folder - and then make a global changes to it. Essential graphics have to be pulled from a timeline.
You can save a template to any folder you choose in the Export dialog.
The extra step that you can take to link the Essential Graphics Panel to that same folder (or any custom folder) is to click on the hamburger menu in the EGP and select "Manage Additional Folders." This will give you the option to choose that very same folder that you exported to in the step above. It adds an extra dropdown menu that you can use to filter your view to only display the Mogrts in that folder (kind of like the way CC Libraries work except they're your folders!)
Lastly, you can select your Premiere-made Graphics in the timeline, and from the top bar Graphics menu, select "Upgrade to Source Graphics". This will make the Graphic behave like a Legacy Title in that a version of it will show up in your Project panel. It will also make it a "global graphic" meaning that making an edit to one iteration of it, will apply that change to any subsequent instances of that graphic that are added to the timeline after the upgrade.
Hope this info is helpful!
