Premiere artifacting possible GPU issue?
Hello,
I've been having issues with Premiere for quite some time, that seem related to the GPU. My program monitor keeps glitching and giving me really crazy colours and artifacting. I've attached a few screenshots.
I'm using a MacBook Pro and have all my software up to date. The problem has shown in both Premiere 2020 and 2021.It also shows on both my external and built in monitor. I've reset PRAM and my SMC.
Is this a known problem?
Cheers,
Ryan

Have you had a chance to look at this yet? It's driving me crazy.

Hey Kyle,
Machine specs:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Radeon Pro 560 4 GB
Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MBI've uploaded the project file and one of the MP4's here: https://seatosummitbox.box.com/s/xxq7bsyrhhg5fqzq1z1fyuczdppvsmq0
The problems didn't seem linked to a specific time or clip but I definitely had an issue at 5:02.
Following my previous message my GPU has been replaced and I have run in to the problem again (although not remotely as frequently).
Switching to software only rendering fixed any issues I've had in the past but is painfully slow.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Cheers,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,
This is not a known issue as far as I know.
Could you share additional information about the exact model/config of your machine? If you don't know offhand you can get it from the Apple menu -> About This Mac.Also if you could share a sample project/media that reproduces the bug, that would help as well. In the meantime, you could try switching to the software renderer as a possible workaround (albeit with reduced performance).
Thanks!
