Bug Report - Motion Graphics Templates from AE
Recently I've come across templates that, when using a slider to adjust size or style preference, need to be typed in for them to work or look identical. I had a template that had a slider to select which style was to be used. When using a mouse to adjust it, it would show nothing unless it was on an exact part of the slider for it to show. Typing the number in was the only way for it to show up every time. I dont think these used to do that before. It thought that they would click into place for each number so this wouldn't happen? thanks for fixing!

Hi David,
Oh interesting! Thanks for the video. I see what you're saying. Would you mind sharing the Mogrt with me? It's really the only way that we can dig into this and see if its an issue with the underlying expressions or something in how we're reading those values.
Mogrt files can't be uploaded to this site, but WeTransfer, Google Drive, or Dropbox links are always helpful.
Thanks so much,

Hey Dacia and Mike!
This is not my template. This template came from someone else. This issue also seemed to turn up when it came to the text size as well. If its an expression issue from AE, then that may be on them. But I've added a screen recording. -
Hi David,
The dropdown is a great idea, as Mike mentioned. The other thing the might be happening here is that a mathRound() expression is required to keep the slider limited to whole and exact numbers.
It's possible that the template is missing this and allowing the slider to represent values between whole numbers.
But maybe, I'm misunderstanding the situation altogether? Maybe you're saying that the hot text for the slider is not being shown at all unless you type the value directly?
Would you mind sharing a screen recording of what you're seeing?
Thanks in advance,
Dacia -

Hi David -
We suggest that you use a drop down menu control if you are choosing between a small number of discrete choices.
