Proxies don't sync up when interpreting footage
When I attach proxies to footage shot at 29.97 fps then interpret the footage at 23.97, the footage no longer syncs up. Toggling proxies on and off shows the frames to be completely different. I would like the proxies to be frame for frame synchronized when reinterpreting footage.

Premiere export screen has just been updated and still no improvement over the flexibility to setup the frame rate in export or proxy. Are you listening at all to the users demands? Do you suggest we use an expensive plugin developped by someone else or are you suggesting we switch to your competitors to handle 8 mm films?

I have shot footage at 25fps and am trying to use the proxy workflow but am running into this sync issue when interpreting to 23.976. The proxy file was created at 25fps, but when toggling the proxy on the interpreted frame rate seems to be ignored and the video no longer syncs with the audio OR the interpreted frame from the original high-res clip.

That's something of a flaw in the proxy creation. When you create a proxy using an interpreted footage, the proxy does not keep the original file framerate. It just converts one framerate to another, thus loosing the ability do sync. What I do, is pause the ME encoding, select every piece of file to be converted, right click and interpret that footage INSIDE ME, again.
