MPEG2 MXF and M2T slow opening
Whenever I open a project that has any MPEG 2 assets (in the form of HDCAM-type MXF files or M2T files from a Sony camcorder), all the footage sits in a "Media Pending" mode for the same amount of time as it did the first time they were imported. Now on-screen, no status is given about what is happening, but the HDD is quite busy and appears to be re-indexing the footage. Any ideas why this is happening?

Still having issues with MXFs re-indexing every time the timeline is opened and the files are accessed. Any ideas?

@kevin
Sorry, yes, this is with 15.2.0 on a Windows/64 machine with intel i7, 6-core, 32GB RAM, GTX1080.
Projects that have these MXF files open fine, but the moment you go to access the file in the bin or on the timeline, the first time opening the project, it must re-scan the MXF. As for the M2T's, those, it re-indexes every time you open the project (actually shows it doing so in the progress bar in the lower right corner. The MXF re-scan does not show. I had to do some hunting to see why no video would show up. Then saw the HDD going full-bore reading that MXF file.Thanks!

Is this with 15.2? What kind of computer and components are you running? Need more info. You may want to triage this on forums.
