Mercury transmit: Support for multiple audio outputs
Mercury Transmit is great in that you can route video to multiple outputs at the same time.
However, this same capability does not exist for audio outputs.
The lack of multiple audio routing precludes the use of software based streaming encoders like Streambox Spectra to send out audio playback synced to its accompanying video, without completely disabling local audio playback/monitoring.
When I beta tested the Spectra plug-in with Premiere, I thought it was perfect for streaming editing sessions, but the lack of simultaneous audio routing ultimately rendered the plugin almost useless for anything other than MOS footage review or color-correction sessions.
I’m guessing this may be a more difficult problem to solve than it appears, since you probably need to have a way of reliably locking audio sync to the proper video output as well across multiple, simultaneous audio/video outputs. But having this feature would be very useful, especially now that remote workflows has become the norm.
