add the ability to burn-in speed changes with Render and Replace
I really really wish Render and Replace had some key functionalities it is currently lacking. It has a checkbox for “include video effects” – but right now it doesn’t work with the warp stabilizer effect. [this may be a windows issue, or some weird specific issue with my machine – see the video below]
It also doesn’t burn-in any time remapping/speed changes. To me, R&R would be massively more useful if it could burn these changes in.
The reason is I need to burn-in all these effects as they will not carry over via xml when moving timelines to another app. (Resolve, in my case, where I finish)
The hilarious thing is DaVinci Resolve essentially copied this (its called Render in Place) and it does exactly what I wish Render and Replace did.
R&R as it exists currently is basically a convenient transcoder of individual clips that are edited into a timeline, nothing more.
I suppose it might be useful for things like the odd RED 8K clip here and there or something, but man, it sure could make the arduous process of timeline preparation so much smoother. I made a video describing these issues here -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCBcWgOgGtM

Ditto. This is tripping me up on a project today.

I totally agree. I have to pass on some long shows to a colorist, and they want all effects baked in. I really wish this was a feature of Premiere.
