V.15 32 core threadripper CPU goes to 100% on project opening and crashes
After upgrading to v15 my CPU goes 100% on project opening and crashes. In 14.9 it doesnt do this at all. It must have something to do with the fact that I have a 3970x AMD threadripper with 32 cores. But something definitely isnt right with the CPU optimization on the new version. I will be staying with 14.9 until this is fixed

Same here. AMD RYZEN THREADRIPPER 3970X 3,7 GHz and the thumbnails when the project had many clips makes the CPU usage go up until 100%. Then Premiere crash

Yep same awful behaviour for me - Ryzen 3950x with GTX 1080Ti and 128GB ram - worst when opening old projects but seems to lock up at random too. So painful to try to work like this

Same for me too, project are now completely unusable as opening any project causes cpu to go 100%, whole system lags and cant even open task manager this easily lasts 30 minutes.
Specs: threadripper 1950x, rtx 3090, 128gb ram

Same issue 3950x pc. 14.9 works great, 15.0 and 15.1 hang at 100% at random and are unusable.

I see this on a a Ryzen5 on V15.0 and V15.1. No issue on V14.9. I see the issue adding a graphics layer to videos

I have a similar issue with my 3950x, 128gig ram, and 3090. Complete 100% usage for minutes when loading H264 and H265 footage thumbnails.

I have a very similar issue with my 2950x - thumbnail generations cause it to 100% usage - https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/43020768-bug-premiere-pro-15-0-using-100-cpu-usage-to-lo
