Premiere improperly (and randomly) rendering track matte from MOGRT.
I have created a fairly basic animation in a MOGRT for lower thirds. There are two boxes that size responsively to the length of name and title. The animate on using track mattes. When imported into premiere on my machine they work fine. On a colleagues machine they do not. We both run Mac OS Catalina, latest version as of today. We also BOTH updated AE and Premiere to the latest version as of today.
Thank you Tim for sending me the mogrt and a clear picture of the correct and incorrect results you are seeing. After spending some time with your mogrt on several different systems, we found that the problem happens when you turn on the control to "Resize for 1080" in Pr's EGP which keeps the track mattes from animating in and out correctly. If you don't actually need to resize it for 1080, you can just leave that unchecked and the whole graphic will animate in and out as expected.
Also thank you for helping me get to the root of the problem in Ae. To be clear, to fix it you just needed to make sure that the masks were parented correctly to the the resize control and that they resize along with everything else when that control is checked on. After that, you will of course need to re-export the MOGRT from Ae and re-apply it in Pr and all the controls should work as expected at that point.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. I'd like to get the mogrt form you if possible so I can try it myself. I will be emailing you shortly to set up a way to do that. Also, I watched the mp4 you attached but I didn't see any obvious problem with it. Was that what the correct result is supposed to look like or did I miss some flaw in the video?
