Premiere Pro freezes during routine use
After the most recent update the entire system freezes, including the mouse, after several minutes of routine use. Forces a hard reset.

Yes, you need the latest driver. The previous one created a conflict.
Also wanted to report that your CPU is at minimum system requirements, so an update to a Gen 7 or greater CPU is warranted if you wish to do more 4K workflows. For now, you can use proxies for that kind of media. Cheers.

Can you please try with the latest nVidia driver? There is a known issue with drivers around version 461.09 that exhibit symptoms similar to your report, but should be resolved in 461.40.
