Premiere Pro v14.8 - Startup Issues on iMac
Running into a strange issue with Premiere Pro v14.8 on iMac 27" (Retina 5K 2019 with Vega 48).
If I start the machine then almost immediately after boot is complete start Adobe Premiere Pro, the application launches almost immediately and flawlessly.
If I start the machine, let it sit or work on anything else before attempting to open Adobe Premiere Pro, the application launch takes many minutes and often results in a system hang that requires a full shutdown and restart.
Running into a similar issue with Media Encoder.
Is this a known issue? Is there any fix or workaround?
macOS Catalina 10.15.7 19H114
iMac Retina 5K 27" 2019 128GB RAM Vega48
Premiere Pro v14.8.0 build 39

Trashed preferences. Repaired permissions. First Aid checks clear everywhere. No issues reported at all.
For some reason, this almost feels like an old dGPU/iGPU issue I used to run into on an old 15" MBP with NVIDIA and integrated graphics. Disabling graphics switching usually fixed that, or starting PS/AE/PPro right after a reboot.
(There is no "disable graphics switching" or "automatic graphics switching" on an iMac 27" 2019.)

I've never seen this, Brian. I suspect permissions issues for things like this. Do a Get Info for your Adober folder and then unlock it. Check permissions by setting to Read and Write for your User Account. If so, click the gear icon and do so for the entire contents of the folder. Reboot and see if you still have the same issue. That's where I would start. If that does not work, try deleting Media Cache and opening Disk Utility and then run First Aid.
