Generating Audio Waveform Data on a Proxy File and not on the Hires
We are trying to build a proxy workflow via VPN using Helmut FX. You import a Clip via Helmut FX, while working in a VPN environment, into your project and a proxy is generated automatically and stored on your local drive. Now you activate the attached proxies and are able to edit locally with good performance. If you manually trigger the audiowaveform creation on your proxy clips Premiere still wants to use the hires file for creating those .pek files. When you are working via VPN this creates heavy network activity we are trying to avoid. Is there a possibility to implement a checkbox where you have the option to generate the .pek files from the proxy and not the hires? Having this as an option is crucial for our workflow to work and it would make sense being able to generate the data needed from a proxy file.
