Quick Export Bug: 'Export' button no longer keyboard activatable after changing Preset or Name
When calling up the Quick Export window, the blue 'Export' button can be activated by pressing Enter on the keyboard. This is logical and quick.
However, if a user changes the file name/location, pressing Enter no longer does anything because it is no longer selected.
After changing the export Preset, pressing Enter opens up the list of presets again since it becomes the active window element the moment a user clicks on it. This might make sense from a programmer's point of view, but it does NOT make sense from an end user's POV. The only way to activate the Export button by keyboard is to press the Tab key to make the Export button active again.
Whether this is actually a bug or not is debatable. What is not up for debate is the fact that this is bad design that does not work for the benefit of end users.
1. Allowing users to Tab-select different parts of a user interface is good, so this should not be removed but rather fixed, so that only keyboard-actionable items are selected. The first Tab press that selects a non-visible, non-keyboard-actionable part of the interface should be removed since it does not help anyone. (see illustration)
- Unless a user uses the Tab key to select another interface element, the ‘Export’ button should remain selected, always! This would eliminate the user confusion and frustration that results from the Export button no longer being actionable with the Enter key whenever they change a file location/name and/or preset with their mouse.
The Export Settings window works like this: the 'Queue' button remains active and actionable with the 'Enter' key no matter which settings are changed beforehand. There's absolutely no reason the new Quick Export tool should deviate from this much more logical workflow that was established long ago in the default export tool!
Please fix this so that the Quick Export tool remains consistent, and as a result, is actually quick to use!
