@Chris V, Yes, the bug should be fixed in 14.8.

Hi Matt,
Can you tell me if this bug is crushed in 14.8?
I'm still at 14.5 because of this...
Thanks a lot.
Best regards, Christiaan. -

Thanks Matt. Looking forward.
My work is critical for clients. I do not want to install a beta.
Waiting for 14.8. Hope this will be solved.
Thanks again.

It should be fixed in the current ***** Beta. It is planned to be in the next release but plans can always change.

I skipped 14.6 and had hope 14.7 had this fixed. But it has not.
Back to 14.5 again.Adobe / Matt,
will this be fixed soon? I'm getting behind in versions.
(I use the loopdeck+ external controller.) -

Hi All,
We have identified an issue when using external control surfaces in 14.6. When you have a control surface turning on, adding tracks will cause a deadlock in the Premiere backend and cause a hang, or can cause a crash. I apologize for this.
For now you will want to stay on Premiere 14.5 if you rely on external control surfaces. If you want to use 14.6 you can simply remove any control surfaces from the Control Surface preference. -

I discoverd it also with a logic control attached. It was so bad, i preferred to switch it off. Now I still discover it - it seems to be connected to a certain workspace.

Hi Matt. Great that you will take a look. Here is the projectfile.
It also happen in other projects.
I have gone back to 14.5. That works perfect.
I have installed 14.6 for you to check again. But the bug is there.
I will go back to 14.5 now to be able to work normal.
Looking forward to your reaction or solution.
If you have any questions let me know.
Best regards, Christiaan -

Hi Chris.
I'm unable to crash by simply adding a track via right click menu. Could you provide a Project that is showing this so I can create a bug? Or post a video showing it?
Thanks.
