Me too! Mine just suddenly disappeared while I was working today and they wont come back :(
This sucks - in the project I am working on I have a ton of different sequences and this is how I normally sort them,... Bring it back!(Yes, I have tried to cross on and off the labels in the "premiere pro metadata"-column.)
Have Pr 14.7 on macOS High Sierra.

Mac OS 10.15.6, Premiere 14.6.0, worked fine for awhile, now all labels in project bin, no matter settings (metadata and project), no matter old project or new one from scratch, no labels showing up. Tried using old settings, one from sync, from scratch, none have labels. Please, please fix.

Have you tried making sure the Labels are active? Right-Click the "Name" header in the Bin then select "Metadata Display". Swirl Down the "Premiere Pro Project Metadata" and the "Label" checkbox should be selected.
Please keep in mind that I'm on Win 10Pro and the Labels all display as the color Black in the Bin.
I started my own post on this and am going to Vote for yours as well.BK

Same exact issue. macOS 10.15.7 (19H15) with Premiere Pro 14.6.0 (Build 51).
