When marking an In point at a later point than an existing Out point, Premiere should not erase the Out point
Hi,
When editing, I often find that I will Mark an In point and an Out point, but keep playing the clip in case I spot a better point. If I think I have but aren't sure, I Mark IN (out of muscle memory habit) and then want to jump back to the Out point just to be sure, but it's vaporised!
So, I'm wondering if when marking an In point at a later point than an existing Out point, Premiere might be better to NOT erase the 'earlier' Out point. It should have no effect on 3 point editing, i.e. an outpoint before an pinpoint should be ignored at all times when inserting or overwriting. but it could stay on the timeline or source clip until it's removed/cleared by the editor or a new Out point is marked.
Thanks for your consideration.
