Captions display and output doesn't respect the timecode (Premiere Pro 2020)
Since Premiere Pro 2020, the display and output of closed captions doesn't respect the source timecode (captions imported from MacCaption as an MCC file with 608/708 captions). For example, if a caption is set to appear on a certain timecode, it's always off by 4 or 5 frames in Premiere 2020. It's annoying when all the captions changes need to be in sync with video cuts. This bug wasn't present in Premiere Pro 2018.

I updated to 14.8 this morning, and still the same bug. So I still have to rely on Premiere Pro 2018 for my captioning output... Very annoying.

This bug is not only with MCC, it is with all kind of captions. Unfortunately if the project is 24.976 or 29.97 or 59 fps, this bug will apear.
Please see the video I attached to my message in another threat.Dear Adobe, please please please solve this bug.
Thanks. -

Nate, have you been able to reproduce the problem? Is this gonna be fixed in the next version?
Thank you

Here is a MCC file (with 608 and 708 captions) and 2 Premiere projects, in 2018 and 2020. It seems like it's the 708 captions that are offset by a few frames

Can you upload a project - no media needed except the .mcc file so I can isolate further. I'm not able to reproduce and would like to investigate further. Thanks.

These are all 29.97 projects. Caption files are MCC v2, 608/708. In Premiere Pro 2018, the captions files displays and output fine but in 2020 they shift by some frames in the display AND the encoded MXF output. Since I discovered that, I do my final outputs in Premiere Pro 2018. Please correct that.

Are these 23.98/24 fps projects? There are some known issues with MacCaption output in regard to these framerates. I believe they have been fixed in later versions of MacCaption.
