More robust selection tools: selection filter/ criteria search
Imagine a world where an editor could select clips on the timeline not by the antiquated means of chicken picking every other clip on every other track (heaven forbid you accidentally select a cut, switch to the trim tool and lose that entire selection!) but instead by using the metadata of the clips in the timeline.
What if I wanted to select all enabled clips on video tracks 1,2,& 5 that are over a duration of 3 seconds? Now invert that selection. Across all timelines in Bins X, and Z but not Y.
A selection filter should make that possible. Give us some tokens and boolean arguments to either enter into a search field, or have users select from a defined interface. Something. anything. Modernize this application.
and what do you do with those selections then you ask? ha, maybe that's another feature request for more automation like Photoshop Action or Mac OS Automator. Perhaps add them all to a new track above all the others, consolidate them into a brand new sequence or export the selection as individual mp4 via Media Encoder?
I know this is not and isn't really marketable for new subscriptions to CC, but would it really put the PRO into premiere. Feel free to disregard as per usual.
