Premiere runs smoothly only in 1/2res on HiDPI Display
I own a pretty beefed up new Mac Pro with Apple's XDR display and since January (8monthts!) I'm getting more and more frustrated with the lackluster performance of the UI in Premiere on the 6K display. It runs more smoothly on a 7 year old trashcan mac pro on a HD display.
The problem seems to be with the retina resolution, beacuse if I run the app in 1/2 res mode (via the mac os info dialogue) it runs pretty solid and is usable, but not in native full resolution.
I'm not talking about the video playback itself, which is smooth, but the UI itself. Scrolling in the timeline, moving clips around etc just feels SUPER sluggish.
Please DO something about this! I didnt buy a 6000 € display plus a 11000€ computer only to have a low FPS or blurry software in front of me.

Same here, we bought the Mac Pro 2019 and the UI responsive is a desaster once we attach the Mac to a monitor with more than 1080p resolution. We are using a EIZO UHD Monitor with the official thunderbolt 3 connection cable and the only solution which is to run the app in 1/2 resolution. It´s actually a joke how to find this setting as well. We tried this setup in other apps like DaVinci Resolve without any problems in UHD.
