Make the Captions checkbox on export automatically turned on if there are Captions in the video
Okay, so your like me and you just finished a long days edit with captions and you're about to export a large file, you know it's going to take hours to export. After all that time, you review the export and low-and-behold, no captions. YOU FORGOT TO PRESS THE TURN ON CAPTIONS BUTTON EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE CAPTIONS IN THE VIDEO! Adobe, if there are captions in the timeline being exported, the captions option in the export settings should be automatically checked. I can see why it is uncheck by default as to help the editor decide what kind of caption export they want, but nevertheless, it should be checked automatically and then decide what kind of caption export it should be. This is a small thing that has wasted hours of my time, there is enough to focus on when dealing with export settings, this is a small mundane detail that gets me everytime. Thank you!

I would love a new function were captions is enabled by default IF there are captions in the video.

Thank you for the feedback. Currently, to enable Caption includes setting to one of the options (Create Sidecar File, Burn Captions Into Video, etc.). Do you have a preference on what the default option should be?
Or, are you looking for new functionality with something like Caption is enabled by default, but no setting is applied. If you go to export then it warns you that a Caption setting needs to be set?
Until then, creating Export presets with your desired settings may help. You can set all your Video, Audio and Caption settings, then Save Preset (upper right of Export Settings, next to Preset dropdown menu).
