Fix Productions so that it retains Master Clip associations
I've created a Production for several ongoing projects and, in so doing, consolidated media to several organized projects and sequences to another project. REGULARLY the sequences will lose the associations that I have set for their clips to the new project locations and revert back to the projects that they were first imported into... WHICH NO LONGER EXIST.
This happens even when I have created a completely new sequence and copied the old sequence into it. It seems as though the clips themselves are retaining the original metadata that was there from the first creation of the Production and NEVER LETTING IT GO and then, when a wire gets crossed, the clip in the timeline will revert to that original metadata and no longer match back to the media in its present location.
The only workaround that I've found is to move the sequence into the project that contains the media. relink the footage (sometimes, "Reassociate Master Clips..." still doesn't work and then I just have to recut it back into the sequence and verify that it's linking to the correct media instance), and then copy it back into the sequence project. This is a process that I've been forced to go through literally every day or two because it loses file associations that frequently.
EDIT: Here's an example that came up just after I posted this, so I've come back to share a video walk-through.

The only way to fix this is to either move the piece of media from the ARCHIVAL project into the project containing the sequence, then it will re-link. Then I have to save and then I can drag it back to the ARCHIVAL project. But, since this is happening regularly with clips all across this production, it's quite a hassle to constantly be sliding media back and forth from project to project just to re-establish media-links that should be constant.
