When you open the clip in the source panel all that audio is there, contained within the in/out points but on the timeline the tail end of the clip in silent, forcing you to extend the clip beyond what you actually want to hear.

This seems to occur on clips that contain audio effects, if dragging in the source clip even with the same in/out points but no effects applied, the clip plays fine
