Bug Report: Premiere pro takes almost 5 minutes to load
I installed version 14.1 for Windows and it is taking almost 5 minutes for the program to load. I don't know what it's trying to do for all that time, but it is painfully slow. All my other Adobe apps are slow too, but not this slow.
When I launch the program here's how long it takes for things to happen:
16 seconds: I finally see the title screen
3 min 22 seconds. I see some text changing on the title screen. Loading this, that and the other...
3:51 Program opens up full screen, but I get a spinning circle cursor and can't do anything yet.
4:42 The program is finally open and then I can begin.
NOTE: I have a really fast computer and have used Premiere for years with no problems like this. All my Adobe apps have slowed down the last month or two.
Is creative cloud trying to sync assets or something? It was slow on the previous version too, so I updated to 14.1 and it's the same way.
Something is really wrong here.

My problem has strangely stopped, too.
However, when it was happening, I think it must have been some conflict with my antivirus software. I'm running Sophos and had to manually override the Peripheral Control option for any Adobe apps to open within 5 minutes.
I'm glad that problem's out of the way - although I'm still suffering from dropped frames and very choppy playback... -

I never did get this resolved after months of trying. I eventually built an entirely new computer and now everything works fine. I guess we will never know what the problem was.

Pretty much the same with me.
I have a lightening fast machine (i9 / 128G RAm / 2x 900G SSDs) and yet Premiere, After Effects and Media Encoder all take over 5 minutes to load - both 2020 and 2019 versions. And that's without even opening a project file.
Spoke at length with Adobe experts online and all they suggested was to reinstal Windows. Bit of a sledgehammer to ***** a nut... except it didn't ***** the nut. Problem if anything is worse now than it was before, and Adobe no longer answering my emails. Thanks guys!
