Captions don't duplicate previous style
I'm creating open captions --but you don't have a category for that.
Why can't you give us the same power and flexibility in creating these captions as you do for text in Essential graphics? I am creating subtitles and have moved from using Essential graphics to open captions so that I have the option to edit them all at once. However, as other have pointed out, we need to be able to create a style and apply it.
Also, When I create a new caption it should duplicate the style of the previous caption by default. Instead, I'm getting different placements, off center, all over the place.
And we should be able to place the captions wherever we want. Mine is restricting me to what I assume is title safe. but it's too high, especially for two line captions.
We also need to be be able to set the center of a caption to a value, regardless of if it's 1 or 2 lines. Right now the only way I can get both to be centered (without having to individually tweak each individual caption) is by creating two tracks of captions, one for 1 liners, one for 2.
I can't even read all of the reports on captions, there are so many. Clearly this portion of the software needs a lot of work.
Alternatively, you can make essential graphics editable in batches, and then we can just leave behind this terrible tool altogether.

Give the new beta a spin, it is much more like the EGP now.
