No sound output From premiere 2020
There is no Audio ouput from 14.03 and 14.04... my 2019 and 2018 works fine... i tried every possile audio devices. my asio sound card in both MME and asio nothing ouputs, i have made shure the sampling rates matched the channels are properly routed L to 1, R to 2 .. i can see the audio modulating in the tracks.. i have tried multpiple different .wav tracks... i can even input my microphone no problem. then when i do the SAME configs exactly in 2018 and 2019.. sounds outputs fine.. i also tried 2020 with my onboard speakers... tried every possible configurations still no sound.. but works with 2018 and 2019.... i also tried with VB cable internal bus to input to reaper.. same results i get from every other devices....

I had this (kicked in when I updated to 14.5) and didn't really want the rigmarole of re-doing my prefs so I un-installed NDI which I'm not using at the mo and that fixed it. And I was having this issue even with Desktop Audio selected in Prefs>Playback
@LB, We addressed this situation recently. The NDI driver was being set as the default and the audio is routed to it, but with no endpoint the audio goes nowhere and is swallowed by their software.
With completely new preferences this should have been corrected, but I'm guessing there was an issue when you updated from 14.3.2 to 14.4. If NDI was turned on in the Playback prefs, but the Playback pref itself was turned off then the update might have set the playback prefs back to on.
Either way, you can turn reinstall the NDI tools if you need, you just need to make sure that in the "Preferences>Playback>Audio Device..." is set to Adobe Desktop Audio and not to the NDI driver and you should hear audio from your speakers.

Solved: Removed NDI 4 Tools!
An article from NDI: https://support.newtek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033789453-NDI-Adobe-CC-Plugin-Audio-issue-with-Adobe-Premiere
Funny thing is that on laptop with NDI no problem.

I have same issue. Updated to 14.4.0 (build 38), still no effect. Whichever output, ASIO, MME, any card: no sound. Output meters showing ok.
All other apps: AE, Audition, Rush, even Reaper and VLC are all ok! So soundcard must be fine. Only Premiere refuses playback. Oddly the same app in my laptop (14.3.1, build 45) works perfect.
@Nick Kusters, Can you try my suggestion below?

I have the same issue; it just stopped working yesterday. I have the output set to the right device, I can see the VU meter actually going, but nothing is passed on to Windows (volume mixer ZERO activity).

Matt, that was it!! I've spent the last hour trying to fix this problem. Thank you so much!!
Do you have any Transmit device or the NDI driver installed? My hunch is that the Playback Prefs are routing your audio somewhere you do not expect.
You can verify this by going to "Preferences>Playback..." and under "Audio Device" make sure it says "Adobe Desktop Audio", if that doesn't fix the issue can you report back to me here?
