4 Feature requests
Request 1- Hotkeys for scrolling up and down a timeline. If you have several layers of video and audio, but not enough screen real estate, it would be useful to make a keyboard shortcut to scroll by X amount of tracks, both up and down in the video timeline and the audio timeline. THIS WOULD REQUIRE 4 hotkey options, scroll up X video layers, scroll down X video layers, scroll up x audio layers, scroll down x audio layers. This would be especially useful when expand all tracks is enabled. Another bonus to this feature is if it could automatically detect how much screen real estate is available based on window size, though I'm not sure if this is possible. THIS feature is available in most audio recording software.
Request 2- "Subfoldering" audio tracks. This is a standard feature in audio recording software. It would work like nesting, but one could just use a dropdown tab to get have one track in the timeline become several. this would be most useful with projects that have many layers of audio. It would work better than having the tracks linked because it would take up less screen real estate, and one could apply a single audio effect, and make it apply to the whole group of tracks, without individually changing a setting on each channel.
Request 3- A mode for changing audio section of timeline from timeline frame rate to audio sample rate. This would allow for more precise crossfades between audio tracks, not determined by the frame rate of the sequence. It would be useful to cycle this feature on and off.
Request 4- loop audio- this would be great if integrated, because we could make a tone loop more easily, and just right click a selection, enable the feature, and then drag out the clip without having to copy and paste several times
Also a better integration of the proxy feature would be nice.
