Allow more than one of the same bin (aka Project panel) to be open at the same time.
Premiere now refuses to allow more than one of the same bin to be open at the same time. (It was not always this way.) I see this as a big problem.
To me, it is foundational to how a file and folder system functions, that we should be able to have open more than 1 of the same folder at a time.
It's often because you're just trying to pass through that folder on your way to another, but there are myriad other reasons for it:
The more bins a user prefers to have open simultaneously, the bigger the problem becomes. Trying to change just one bin's address into another, becomes a frustrating and obligatory game of Tower of Hanoi, forcing the user to move and change several other bins around. And it gets worse if you have specific settings for each of your bins - some in icon mode, some in list mode, some in the new freeform mode, and all possibly with different icon sizes, panel sizes, panel locations, and sorting methods. A thoughtful editor is going to want to maintain specific settings for each panel in their workspace, and only change what address the bin is pointing to. With this working the way it currently does, we can't do that.
The change seems to have been made to resolve other issues with multiple projects being open at the same time, by reducing the total number of bins that are open. (I have no insight as to how bins should work when multiple projects are open. For me, it's always been a terrible mess, and I avoid it as much as possible.)
But it seems to me that there is a simple solution -- if the user only has one project open, they should be allowed to have multiple of the same bin.
Ultimately, I feel that this is another example of Premiere "trying to help" by taking away control from the user. Premiere is trying to manage bin organization for the user because it doesn't trust them to be able to do it themselves. In trying to help, it ends up making things much more difficult.

Thank you for pointing out this annoying feature! It is especially annoying for me because of another annoyance. When I switch from one workspace to another the bins are not saved how I had them and have to dig around to get them back. Which when digging around brings up the original annoyance of this post.
