After Effects text disappears when changed in Premiere
After Effects text disappears when it is changed in Premiere. I've tried this on multiple PCs and the same thing happens. I've talked to support and the same thing happens on their computer.

Hi Y’all!
I’ve been sitting on the news of this fix with bated breath for what feels like an eternity. We’ve gone live with the latest release of Premiere Pro version 14.0.2 and Live Text Template workflows are back in action!
Apologies for the disruption in your workflows and thanks so much for your patience!

Hi Dacia,
I am using AE comp via Dynamic Link.
Thank you for explaining where you are with this. I hope that this can get fixed soon.
I will look into the workaround that you suggested and see which is the most appropriate for me.

Hi Sam,
Are you using an AE Comp via Dynamic Link?
If so, we had an unplanned version bump in our Dynamic Link versioning and its made the latest AE 17.0.2 (which feeds the Dynamic Link render) become a bit of a pest when working with 14.0.1 PR.
Looks like AE 17.0 and PR 14.0 are still playing nice together though. Installing those versions is one workaround if that's a possibility.
In the meantime, we have another workflow that we've been building out over the last few years called Motion Graphics Templates. You can add the Source Text from the comps that you've already made to the Essential Graphics Panel (among other parameters) and then Export it as a Mogrt.
The parameters you add to EGP in AE is what you'll be able to change and tweak on the PR side.Once you're in PR you drag and drop the Mogrt from Premiere's Essential Graphics Panel and you can change text there.

Apologies again for the hurdles in your workflow because of this. Hopefully you can get back on track with one of the workarounds above.
I'll update this thread as soon as I can share some news about a fix.
Cheers,
Dacia
