A working quality slider for Quicktime exports
When encoding to Quicktime in Premiere Pro or Media Encoder, the quality slider is greyed out, so the minimum bitrate achievable using the lowest quality preset available is 20Mbps. There is a CineForm preset that appears to allow quality adjustment from 1-5, but using the lowest setting of 1 gives you 20Mbps.
This is unsatisfactory, since Quicktime is the only format that can be used to create proxies of clips that have multichannel audio (MXF for example). 20Mbps proxies are unnecessarily large. 5Mbps is more than adequate.
So please, give us control of the quality slider for Quicktime encoding and make the lowest quality equal to 5Mbps at most.
