Please Fix the slow, laggy UI on 5k HiDPI Screens!
I just got a brand new Apple Mac Pro with the 32 GB Vega II GPU and was hoping it would finally bring smooth UI performance to my 5k Display in Premiere. Sadly, this has absolutely not been the case. Simply scrubbing the timeline, or moving a clip around is so sluggish and slow, it‘s just god awful. The same project on a 6 years old trashcan Mac Pro with 3xFull HD Displays runs absolutely like butter.
Other software, like Final Cut, manage the same performance on the new machine on a 5k Display, but not Premiere. This is just awful.
Please Please Please fix this somehow. Other apps, After Effects and Lightroom Classic are also affected by this. There‘s a huge thread about Lightroom over in another Adobe Forum by frustrated iMac Pro owners.
Please watch the attached video. It‘s worse when you actually experience this yourself.
I want to add, if you open the app in low resolution through the right click/info menu, it's so much smoother, but obviously that's not a feasable solution, it just points at that this is really a coding issue on Adobe's end.

Same here, we bought the Mac Pro 2019 and the UI responsive is a desaste once we attach the Mac to a monitor with more than 1080p resolution. We are using a EIZO UHD Monitor with the official thunderbolt 3 connection cable and the only think which works out to run the app in 1/2 resolution. It´s actually a joke how to find this setting as well. We tried this setup in other apps like DaVinci Resolve without any problems.

It's a shame it hasn't been fixed and it's such an old problem. Please fix and update soon!

Please fix this mess of the UI going so laggy when in 4K. It's a lame.

I can confirm this. The UI performance directly relates to how much area, or how many pixels the UI covers on the screen. On 1920x1080 you won't notice any issues. But on 4k or 5k screens you will see it glaringly obvious when dragging out a marquee selection. It starts smooth and becomes increasingly laggy the more area you cover.
