mouse scroll = zoom in and out
Hi, in my old editing software (NCH Videopad), using the scroll wheel in the mouse makes you zoom in and out on the timeline. I find this so much more useful than the scroll wheel in Premiere which makes you pan left or right in the Premiere timeline.
Right now you can do it by holding ALT and scrolling with the mouse, but it makes it difficult, and does not allow me to grab a clip with the left mouse button and quickly move it to another place in the timeline.
In my other software, you can just hold onto a clip with the left mouse button, and the same time zoom out with the scroll wheel, then let go of the clip on the opposite side of the timeline.
So the solution to that would be to be able to program the scroll wheel to simply zoom in and out of the timeline (without the ALT key).
This is my request.
Thank you

I agree! Makes sense!
What do you think about these other scroll wheel ideas? (see picture)
