Instant Preview Resize of Clips in Project Window
On the Mac, you can select any type of file - e.g. a video or a picture - in the Finder, hit the Spacebar and it will instantly fill the screen so you can preview it.
This simple idea would be amazing in the Premiere Pro Project window. If you select and hit Spacebar, or even just hover for a second or two over a clip, it would be sooooo useful for it to pop up to full-screen size to quickly see its contents.
I know you can send the clips to the Source window but that's an extra step or two, once you've hit Play. And I know you can enlarge the thumbnails in the Project window but even then it's difficult to see properly what's in the clip. And then you only have a couple of clips accessible at a time. If you could have all your thumbnails small but have the quick ability to have them instantly pop up to full size, say, with the tap of the Spacebar that would just make previewing clips Heavenly!
As a side addition, if you could then have some 'one button' way to tag a clip as a "Good Take" that would make previewing and marking the best takes so much faster than it currently is.
If I have a crazy deadline/barely any time to edit properly, I will often just use the Mac's Finder with the spacebar to quickly preview clips. When I find a good take, I mark it with a specific colour label - Yellow is 'definite', Green is 'good', Orange is 'okay'. Then I bring in just the takes I need and edit from there. Still it takes time marking them all and relabelling them in Premiere (even using Label shortcuts to save time).
If you could just do this in the Premiere Project window, editors could blaze through their pre-editing process in no time.
Please consider this idea. The ability to preview and mark clips FAST is so helpful for editors (with stressful deadlines) like myself!
