project manager bug - premiere 2020
In adobe premiere 2020, when I want to export project via project manager, from the source file which I have made several cuts (in & out) in the source monitor panel and drag it in bin, adobe premiere 2020 makes copy of source file as many as cuts I had made. For example, if I had cut a 1gb film into 3 parts it copies the file 3 times and the exported file size turns into 3gb. However in adobe premiere 2018, it only copies source file once and does not make several copy of it.

I'm also getting errors on export. I've tried all the work arounds and nothing is working.
I've also tried several different project. I've created new projects and imported the sequence, I've search all the linked files and nothing had a weird character. Ongoing problem for years. This is crazy. -

Thank your reporting this. This issue has been reproduced and has been submitted for investigation.
Until this is fixed, a possible workaround is to not drag the In/Out sections to the Project panel. Instead, set your In/Out and drag that to the Timeline Sequence (does not create additional instances in Project panel). I tried this and it created only one copied file after running Collect Files and Copy to New Location in the Project Manager.
I know it does not help you for your existing Projects and may differ from your desired workflow, but might help going forward until this issue can be addressed.
