"Extend Selected Edit to Playhead" now automatically put you into trim mode
As of 2020 update, when you do an extend edit to playhead, which I use and have used often, it automatically kicks you into trim mode. This causes me to now have to exit trim mode to get back to editing, each time causing me extra clicks and annoyance. If you added this as a feature, please give us a way to turn it off so I can simply extend edit to playhead again! This happened as of 2020 update.

This issue should be fixed in Premiere Pro 14.0.1 that was just released.

I'm having the same problem too.
Just use this functions for faster working without trim monitor:
Trim Next Edit to Playhead
Trim Previous Edit to Playhead.
I'm using Alt+Q and Alt+W shortcuts for this features.

I'm having the same problem too. I use this shortcut very very often. In fact, I never realized how often I used it until I updated to 2020. It's extremely annoying. It adds an unnecessary step to my work flow. Please add a way to turn it off.

Are there any updates to this? It's driving me nuts editing as I've having to retrain muscle memory to deal with this new "feature".

I've heard about this. I'll see if any internal issues are filed. Upvoted.
