We do monitor User Voice; we share your disappointment that we don’t have a reproducible case, for this issue.
If you can reliably reproduce the ‘low level exception’ problem, on your system, please contact Support and provide them with any files and source media required for that repro case, as well as (important!) step-by-step instructions on how you can reproduce the issue.
We’re eager to pursue the issue further.

I have been experiencing this issue. Oddly, I was working on a project without any issues. When I started from the beginning of the project and attempted to speed through the timeline (playing at double the speed) I immediately get the error. Premiere Pro 2020 does not automatically crash though, it still operates, except I have no ability to use the space bar to toggle play, and the JKL shortcuts do not work. I have a mixture of media in the project, MP4 video (H.264) and PNG image files for still slides. The p[roject was set to the Mercury Playback Engine (Metal). Interestingly, one time it crashed a program called dvaaudiofilterscan.app showed up in my active applications, which is inside the Adobe Premiere Pro 2020.app. I'm not sure if that helps.

Same issue, and it seems to be tied to time remapping at least so far. We can switch to software rendering only, but we spend the money on the software to use these features. The subscription model was supposed to provide adobe the resources to create better products and us with new features and better functionality. Unfortunately, it seems like the trade off for the new features has been poor functionality. We get a product that is not fully functional, yet Adobe keeps collecting the money from it's users. I haven't given up hope on this product yet, but it is disappointing.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" 2015 AMD Radeon s9. I have the same problem, doesn't play on metal, nether open cl, only software only. But what is the point to own computer with designated GPU is not going to be able to use it on the newest software because adobe decided not to support it.
Is very disappointing to be on a monthly subscriptions that doesn't t support the hardware that most people own.
And the projects made on the latest versions of premier could not be opened with and older versions because they are not supported on the newest versions. I tried to opened but no luck, then I tried to Import it in a new Project but nope same message is not supported and could not be opened
So I decided to test the same computer on Mojave. and I didn't have any issue, then I. tried again in Catalina with an older version of premiere and surprise I didn't have any issue , but the issue would be when adobe discontinue this version that for sure would be in next few months, And If I pay subscription I want to be able to use the latest versions.

Same bug, but seems to mainly do it when I use j, k, l to speed up timeline. I'm using an iMac Pro 10 core w/64G mem on Mohave 10.14.6. I have all of the Red Giant suite installed as well as EastWest VSTs and Native Instrument VSTs, but I'm not utilizing any of these in my workflow. Simply created a new project, added a MPEG-4 video, 17 minutes long, 1280x720, 1.94GB, stereo (although 4 audio channels show up in the timeline). AAC encoding, H.264.

Same thing only working on Windows 10, i7-9700 3 GHz, GTX 1660 Ti (6GB). Happens primarily when time re-mapping and occasionally when scrubbing through timeline. Happens with any footage from any camera.

After I upgrade my premier to 2020, several strange problems appear.
And does anyone work with Blackmagic's UltraStudio3D? No way to get a clean and stable sound out...

WTF Premiere? Are you trying to tell me to ditch you and stick to my Davinci Resolve Studio workflow?
After all the years we been together, paying you every month!, and you can't keep JKL from glitching? Its fundamental for all editors to use JKL on every sequence.

Same issue. Locks in double play speed and can't stop the playback. Have to force quit and relaunch. Very frustrating. Please hurry!!! I use the JKL keys constantly.
'Under Review' Like every other one they haven't fixed or implemented...
