Import script or transcript - Adobe Story replacement / Script Sync alternative
After all these years we're still looking for a replacement for Adobe Story and/or something that rivals Avid's Script Sync.
Currently there are a number of plugins that do some of the job that Story used to do, but all of them require you to produce transcripts using their software. These third party tools are great but they don't help if the transcript already exists.
I'd like to be able to import an existing transcript or script and have Premiere analyse the audio against the transcript in order to make the video searchable by words or phrases.
This could obviously work alongside any automatic transcription tool that Adobe may be working on. If such a thing is on the horizon please remember to allow an option to import a reference script!
Bonus points if you can give us the option to then export a new script based on an edited timeline. We often have to create a documentary script for legal checks but it would also be extremely useful for automatically generating subtitles.

Being able to import our own script would be yet ANOTHER game-changer for Premiere. It's doing a great job so far but it struggles with acronyms (not surprised..this has to be almost impossible), capitalization, and punctuation. It's fine for short videos but we have 30+ minute videos. Going through the transcribed text and fixing all of these is very time-consuming. We already have approved scripts so being able to use them alongside of Premiere timing would be truly amazing!

The import function for a transcript would be very helpful. It would also create better transcritpions as Adobe is struggeling with (product) names.
I just need the ability to copy/paste text into the transcription panel and let Premiere handle the timing and creation of subtitles.
This helps especially if you have to create two versions of your video in different languages.

there is transcriptive.
I just checked it out.
It works, but I can only strongly support this claim.
I would even go further.
Make it native , make it always , do it in the background and pls
I don´t want to notice it. Just ask me if I import video and audio if I like to
transcribe and sync.
And do the rest without even bothering me.
