Link Media panel - common paths
I am opening a series of older projects where some of the footage has since been moved to other locations. Some of the footage is reused in a lot of older projects.
I would like the ability to add a list of file paths/folder locations where Premiere will look for lost footage - a list that would persist independent of the project being loaded. So when I load up the next project I don't have to manually navigate to a half dozen different folders to show premiere where the footage is.
Or add a 'Search 'recent file paths' option to the Link Media panel or in the preferences for loading projects.
It seems like this functionality could be done as preferences for scene loading or as an added feature in the Link Media panel.
I may be mis-remembering, but I think I saw some other software (DaVinci Resolve?) that let you specify media paths.
This feature would probably save me an hour or two as I go through 16 old projects to excerpt parts of them.
Actually, I think the Media Browser probably has that functionality, so the point may be moot. I just prefer using the OS's file browser because it is (or at least used to be) much faster than using the Media Browser.
