Please have a tool that will give you the exact width and height of an object or graphic.

You mean a metadata value for height / width of some selected thing? That's an interesting possibility, but clips already tell you their height/width in the info panel and also in the Properties window. So we're really just talking about Graphic layers which usually aren't defined by pixel depth. They are defined by type size and/or scale points.

It's not exactly the same as what you've asked for but have you tried turning on Rulers and Guides in the View menu and using those to measure your Layers by hand?
