Merged clips have been giving me a lot of grief for all their limitations I wish I had known before using them as my primary method of having video with external audio in my bins.

Editing with them was fine until hand-off time came and they merged clips wouldn't export as expected (i.e. at all) to After Effects and Resolve. I had to manually redo my whole edit without merged clips.

Their time saving promise was hollow and spiteful.
