Custom metadata overlays or burn-ins
It would be great to be able to add any metadata overlay with the overlay settings.
As it is now we are limited to Source Timecode, Sequence Timecode, Markers, Sequence Clip Name, Project Clip Name, File Name, Sound Timecode, and Sound Roll.
It would be great if you could choose any of the many fields in the Metadata Panel.
This could also be implemented as an effect similar to or integrated into the existing clip name effect. It could also be integrated into the simple text effect. You could pick a source track and it would overlay or burn in the chosen metadata field.

I will be switching to Resolve because of this. Adobe just F#$ked me over on a project because I couldn't burn-in audio timecode for an archival heavy documentary. I'm done. See you later Adobe.

The simply fix for this is to allow overlays in the export menu. Not sure why this isn't a thing. Need this for conforms and VFX hand offs. All competitive NLE's have a solution for this including resolve. Not sure why Premiere is so behind in this regard. Seems like an easy and simple fix.

Do not forget to let us EXPORT printed overlays! That is a must!

Definitely need this. The amount of burn ins I need to manually create in my premiere projects is unbareable. Avid and resolve deal with this a lot better, but I can't always use those. So please please please let us do this Adobe!

This is certainly something still of interest. Maybe being able to select specific fields in a mogrt could help bridge a gap?

Still needed.... like Avid timecode burn in that will burn in all sorts of sequence & clip metadata

Ditto, how does Resolve have a better processing workflow than Prem?! Ideally, we would rather have edit assist working from Premiere from the get go, than starting in Resolve and moving back to Prem. Might just stay in Resolve one of these days...

Repeating Alan. This has been requested for 6 years.
It would also be nice to be able to burn the entire editing overlay in on export. It's so customizable you could get most configurations for burn in that you'd want. -
