poster frame
Have the option to set the thumbnail for a clip in the timeline to be the poster frame for said clip.

Yes instead of using the continuous thumbnail, to have the option to choose a poster would be really helpful to have a clean view of the sequence or when rearranging clips in an other order.

Yes, this would be very useful. Fairly often, the first frame of a clip is not very representational of the whole clip. Being able to visually scan through poster frames on the clips in the track of the timeline would create a far more intuitive overview of the sequence.
