BUG: Entering XMP Metadata in batches causes crash
Entering XMP Metadata into multiple clips at once with Premiere Pro (Clip and File Metadata linking turned on) causes it to crash with a "Serious Error has Occured" message. This crash happens often specifically when I add metadata at a file level with linking on rather than at the clip level with linking on.
I also note that when adding metadata to multiple clips (at Clip Level with XMP linking turned on), each successive metadata write in the batch seems to take twice as long as the previous write - leading to exponential increases in total write time as more clips are selected in the batch to write. When a large number of clips are selected PPro takes so long that it seems to hang with the spinning beachball of death.

Same issue here- adding camera label to multiple clips crashes no matter what. Can’t set up my multicam edit ! This is critical

Currently having this issue with 22.2
Trying to edit the Camera Label for multiple clips and constantly getting crashes. This is absolutely absurd. I literally cannot prep this project for edit.

Same here - very frustrating.

Having pretty much exactly the same issue on Windows 10, except that Premiere hangs even if clip and file linking are turned off. After about three attempts to enter metadata on multiple clips, Premiere will crash.
