why does it take so long for media to load?
when I open premier it has to load the videos and it just stays there for a good hour.

Yes, load times are ridiculously long. I don't know why Premiere has to load media every time I open the project. Should it just load when I import and stay loaded forever? Save the load data to the project file permanently. It shouldn't just be temporary every time you open the project.
