Yes, please support Linux. This would be a huge milestone. Thanks...
Thanks

Hello everyone,
after looking into both technical viability and current market needs, it’s unfortunately become obvious that we’re not going to be able to act on this request in the near future.
I wanted thank everyone for the considerate and passionate discussion on this thread. This has been a great example of a meaningful conversation over a controversial subject that I don’t take for granted.
Cheers,
Patrick

No point in crying here for Linux support. Linux market share is rising by breaking records in the last few months. Just wait patiently. In future, Adobe will be forced to support Linux for their own existence.

Still no Linux support? What happened? Is Adobe having a hard times? Will it be closed soon? Maybe it's time to switch from Adobe products, obviously this company has problems and apparently their software will have no support soon. Sad story of Adobe, it was a great company back in the days.

How shortsighted people at Adobe are.
Technical viability: I read here (https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/premiere-pro-programming-language/td-p/8721554?page=1) that Premiere is mostly written in C++. By putting some #ifdef __linux__ and replace the required system calls, you should be able to (relatively) quickly do the job. I can bet that a similar programming trick is already in place to compile it for MAC, which is a unix-like operating system. So, a lot of work for porting it on linux is already there. You need some fine-tuning.
Market needs: not only a lot of people will definitely use it (me included), but also a lot of institutions (e.g., HEI). You will have the same market you already have. You should say the real reason. Giving that the latest version of Adobe Reader for linux was issued 7 years ago and seems an ackward porting of the windows version, you should say the truth. Adobe does not have any interest in that, because MS and Apple are our buddy and we dont want to upset them. Being crystal clear would be nice to the people who pay to use this product.

I wanna work on linux. I use Ubuntu Studio and, for now, I use only free program. But I need more quality and comfort. Premiere is very comfortable and is quality, but don't run on Linux. Mac is not for me and windows have a lot of problems.
Please, I don't want to hear anymore "Linux is for nerd, it have only bad surrogate programs" -

adobe for linux! what are you waiting for? unless... you have actions on MS and Mac... cause you know.... if you port your suite to Linux, MS and mac would loose and impressive amount of users! Im testing Manjaro Linux... and im using DaVinci, Sketch, inkscape and Gimp... professional designer here... i would totally pay for adobe, though... i love the soft im using, but your suite is freaking awesome (except for DaVinci, **** what a fine piece of software)

Plenty of people never bothered to ask because we did not expect Adobe to take our requests seriously. If you are not going to port your tools to Linux, at least try to get them working in Wine.

Please, add Ubuntu support at least. All linux community would be extremely happy only for this one.
"doing Linux isn’t really about adding one OS, it’s at least several, if not many ... means developing and testing against several of the major flavours"It's not true. The vast majority simply have no choice.
"the vast majority of our user base wouldn’t consider it as an alternative to currently supported platforms" -
