Yes, please support Linux. This would be a huge milestone. Thanks...
Thanks

Hello everyone,
after looking into both technical viability and current market needs, it’s unfortunately become obvious that we’re not going to be able to act on this request in the near future.
I wanted thank everyone for the considerate and passionate discussion on this thread. This has been a great example of a meaningful conversation over a controversial subject that I don’t take for granted.
Cheers,
Patrick

Noooooo! Please change your mind! MacOS is degrading as a general development platform as they make it more like iOS. I've moved most of my linux graphicUI/UX design work to Gravit designer for now so I don't have to switch between machines as often.

Adobe is the last and only holdout in our DCC toolchain who does not natively support Linux. This has led to aggressive migration efforts away from Adobe products.
However, we would be more than pleased if Adobe would get with the times and support Linux like everyone else.

I don't think you would have to get it working perfectly on all major flavors. You could just give official support for one (e.g. Ubuntu) and communities would figure out how to port. This is quite needed, it would be a good investment for the future.

The world would literally change, and send Microsoft to it's knees if this one thing was implemented.

The only app I keep virtualbox for is Photoshop. Maybe, finally time to change that?

I'd absolutely move my photo and video editing workflows to Linux given the opportunity. Adobe CC apps are the only reason I keep macOS X around, I use Linux-based alternatives where possible. It isn't always possible... Yet.

Linux please.
Blender is available on linux and it is already a game changer. Might be an alternative for Motion Graphics in the future.
Blackmagic Fusion/ Nuke runs on linux and uses heavily GPU.So I don't understand it either that Adobe doesn't support it.
I must say that Adobe is lucky that there is nothing comparable on the market nowadays. It would loose a lot of users when something will come. That's for sure.

Yes, this would be great. It's 2020, perhaps in the year 2035? That's a lot of lunar eclipses ;-)

I would also appreciate the ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud products on Linux.

I moved to Linux Mint when Microsoft tried to jam Win10 down my throat. Now that Win7 has come to End Of Support, I've loaded a trimmed down version of Win10 on a dual boot Linux machine just so that I can run LightRoom and PhotoShop. But for all the hassle, I think I'm just ready to learn another system and leave Windows and Adobe. Would love to see Adobe make it easier to dump Windows all together though.
