13.0.1 Premiere crashes when loading my project
I recently was unable to open a project so I tried to open an older version with still no luck . I tried clearing the Premiere settings and cache and that worked to get it open and edit it more. After putting in a days work I am now trying to open it to work on it again and the same thing is happening- I just get the spinning pinwheel and it never loads.
If I double click the file itself rather than opening it from the Premiere startup screen or drop down menu the project does appear to load (the timeline and library look normal), but it won't show any image in the source monitor or program monitors, and will not play back. I have to force quit every time.
This only began after the most recent update, and has prevented me from getting much work done.

The ALT key trick worked. THANKS!! That really was great and I'm back in business again. What I find is that if I make any changes in media locations or rename directories etc - Premier Pro will not start when trying to open a previous project.
So going forward it seems critical to get organized and keep all your stuff for a given project in one folder, even if you have to duplicate media just to keep it alive in that folder.
Thanks again!

Same thing happened to me on various occasions. Quick fix: Start premiere with ALT (option) key pressed. Upon start up Premiere asks if you're willing to erase preferences (You might lose keyboard shortcuts!), but the projects opened after that.
