AUTOSAVE IN BACKGROUND

Yes, this would be great! I auto save every 5 minutes and it seems like every time I click on something in my project while working in Premiere, the auto-save dialog pops up (preventing me from clicking on what I'm trying to click on). AND presents me with a nice loud mac chime to remind me to not click while saving, lol. This is productivity killer and could be a background task like in Davinci Resolve. Autosave in Premiere has been broken for a long time. It doesn't save at the intervals you tell it to save. It seems to just save when it both tries to save AND when you're not doing anything else. If I am editing for 45 minutes straight without taking a break then it generally seems to wait until I take a break even if it is set to autosave every 5 minutes. This causes problems and needs to be fixed. Please make it autosave in the background so that if Premiere crashes (which it will) then you don't have to stress about whether or not Premiere actually did it's job and autosaved correctly.

Hi!
I would be nice if Autosaving in premiere could be in the background. It now feels like premiere is hanging/crashing and then you get the autosave window shown after some time.
Is irritating when you are in a flow. -

what do you mean? I have the latest pro cc and autosave is a normal window exactly like normal save (ctrl s)
